Daddy didn't realize I would get sucked in to blogging!

Maceo is on the left and Enzo is on the right.  They both are hitting each other in the mouth and Maceo gets Enzo back with spit up.  (Mommy isn't so good at focusing yet...it's manual.  Hopefully, I'll get better at this.  And I have to find a better way to get these videos on here...suggestions welcomed.  The file type is MOV and I uploaded it to YouTube then embedded it here.)

The Daily Routine
The boys have play time every morning after their first feeding, which is sometime between 7 and 9 AM.  They usually only last about 15 mins. on the mat before they get tired and cranky.  Then down for their first nap for about an hour before they eat again.  Mommy usually gets cereal and coffee at this point and might be able to check email and clean some dishes.  The boys wake and  eat again and usually take a long nap, 3-4 hours, after their second feeding of the day.  This is when Mommy tries to get at least one big task completed.  They wake and eat again.  Most of the time they stay up and active again for about an hour after eating and then down for a short nap again.  Eat again around 6 or 7PM and another short nap.  Their last feeding is around 9 or 10PM and they are put to bed after that.  They usually sleep until 2, 3, or 4(Mommy loves if they make it to 4AM) and they eat again.  They know that it is still night time and I usually have no problem getting them back to sleep.  (Now that I've stated this, I'm sure I will have a problem tonight!)  They then sleep until 7 or 8AM and we start again!  They are usually eating when Daddy is getting ready for work and then he tries to change them before he has to leave.  They stick pretty closely to this routine, but I let them dictate mostly how the day goes.  And thanks to the gift from one of our friends with 2 babies, The Happiest Baby on the Block video, Mommy & Daddy can swaddle and shush the boys to calm them when we want them to sleep for a long duration...Thank you Nan!  The boys are pretty good babies.  Maceo is a little impatient, but now that Mommy knows this, he gets fed first.  Sweet Enzo waits on his brother patiently most of the time.  I usually try to read at least one book to them everyday, but that depends on how willing they are to listen.  They are just starting to notice their toys and love to look around in their room.  They don't sleep in there yet, but Mommy thinks it will be soon.  We are all getting used to each other and our ways...Everday getting better and better.

Last week the boys got to go out for pizza at Daddy's favorite pizza place, Varasano's.  They loved seeing all the people and being somewhere new!  And Mommy really loved getting out of the house and not having to cook or clean up!  We are going to try to take the boys out to eat at least once every couple of weeks and hope that they get used to it so that they will behave well when they are a little older.  They had their second out to eat experience at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant, C'om Dunwoody, this past Saturday night.  Dunwoody is filled with old folks for those of you that don't know and we were bombarded here.  Lots of curious opinionated old ladies...one even reached over and moved Clay's plate so that she could see Maceo better.  Our Frenchman friend, Nadj, whose mother-in-law runs the restaurant, treated us so well...bumped us to the top of the wait list, gave us wine to help us relax, and sang Maceo Parker songs to Mace.  If you're ever hungry  in Dunwoody, C'om is the place to eat.  Tell Nadj we said hi when you go.  Until next time...

Our 1st Blog Post

To my surprise Daddy has asked me to start a blog for the boys.  So here we go!  Like I actually have time to do this!  Here is a picture of the boys @ 9 weeks.  Mace is on the left and Zo on the right.  They are growing so quickly and Mommy & Daddy love the boys more and more everyday.  We are so lucky to have 2 little precious boys!  I will do my best to find time to update this regularly for all our loved ones, but for now this is it.  Enjoy and I look forward to keeping you up to date.
